Travel deals in time for Easter

March Holidays at BON Hotel Shelley Point (Cape West Coast)

From 1 March to 3 April 2016, BON Hotel at Shelley Point is offering accommodation from R499 per person sharing with children under 12 staying for free. However, this excludes dates from 25 to 27 March (Easter weekend). But why not take a few days before the Easter weekend to spend some time relaxing with your family.

The deal is subject to availability and full pre-payment is required. There is a minimum requirement of two nights stay for the deal to apply.

Valley Lodge & Spa (Magaliesburg, Gauteng)

If you stay in the Gauteng region and fancy a bit of a break over the Easter holidays, why not take a drive out to Magaliesburg. The Valley Lodge & Spa is offering a two night Easter package available from 25 to 27 March.

Enjoy a staycation

For those not wanting to hit the road this Easter, there are a number of deals and specials that you can make use of around your own town. In addition to those listed below, a number of restaurants and venues will be hosting Easter specials over the long weekend.

Clico Restaurant in Rosebank, Johannesburg is offering a meal with wine pairing for Easter. You can enjoy a four course Easter meal prepared by head chef Gert Nel and his team, for R450 per person. You have the option of adding a wine pairing at R40 per course.

The menu for the day consists of:

  • Caramelised onion and blue cheese tarts with tomato chutney – paired with Newton Johnson Chardonnay
  • Chili salt squid with nuoc cham – Waterford pecan stream chenin blanc
  • Tandoori yellowtail with spinach and cumin dhal, cucumber relish and lemon froth – Neethlingshof gewürztraminer
  • Herb-crusted roast rack of lamb with aubergine puree roasted garlic, sage and red wine jus – Creation Syrah
